The BIRTH and PASSION Behind HUG ROCKS

Melissa is the heart behind Hug Rocks, a movement born from her own journey through loneliness and a deep desire to spread love and kindness. It all began with a simple act: painting small rocks with uplifting messages and quietly leaving them for strangers to find.

Inspired by her granddaughter Pyper’s compassion, Melissa saw how a little kindness could ripple outward, connecting people and offering hope. She believes that simply creating these rocks, no matter what your pain point is, brings great therapy and healing. In a world that is so divided, Hug Rocks create a beautiful way to connect us all. By embracing vulnerability, Melissa has opened doors for others to be vulnerable too, helping us realize that we are more alike than different. Her vision is for Hug Rocks to become a global movement, ensuring that everyone feels seen, loved, and valued.

It all began with a IDEA.
